Fifty Thousand Members in Three Days

Rupert Lowe says Restore Britain has passed 50,000 members, within three days of becoming a political party. The figure comes from the party itself.

Restore Britain says it has passed 50,000 members, within three days of relaunching as a political party on 13 February 2026.

Party leader Rupert Lowe made the announcement on X on the evening of 15 February: "Big news. Restore Britain has just hit 50,000 members." The figure comes from the party and has not been independently verified.

What members pay

Standard membership costs £20 a year, paid through the party's official join page (opens in a new tab). Unlike signing a petition or following an account, membership is a paid commitment.

The party also runs the Cromwell Club, a tier for major donors, which asks for an annual donation of £2,500. According to the party, members are invited to an annual dinner in London and to exclusive events during the year.

The 10% claim

In the same post, Lowe said the party was "polling nationally at 10%". A Find Out Now poll published by The London Economic on 15 February did put the party on 10%. It asked people how they would vote if Restore Britain were on the ballot.

It was a hypothetical question, not a standard voting-intention poll. Later polls that list the party by name have put it lower (see the update below).

A movement becoming a party

Restore Britain was founded in June 2025 as a movement. It said then that members would have "the opportunity to ratify the policy platform", with every policy put to a member vote.

As a party, its membership gives it a base of supporters and subscription income from which to build local organisation and fight elections.

Update (September 2026):

  • 20 February 2026: Lowe said membership had reached 80,000 (our report).
  • 28 February 2026: Lowe said the party had 100,000 members.
  • 12 March 2026: Lowe said the party had local branches in more than 100 parliamentary constituencies.
  • 16 June 2026: The Times reported about 130,000 paying members (our report).

These dates are all party claims except the last. On polling, YouGov put the party on 4% in April 2026, and PollCheck's average of recent polls was 4.4% on 26 September 2026. See the numbers, the timeline and how to join.
